hey Ya'll

This woman is my new idol. PAULA DEEN. A true example of a Steel Magnolia. The woman has been to hell and back and is STILL laughing. And cooking with all that butter hasn't killed her either!
If ya'll have a chance...try a few recipies...Grits, cheese biscuits, her ribs, Fried Chicken and my very very fave: Red Velvet Cake.
I'm gonna make some peanut butter balls and share those too!
Mmm. And I think the weight I lost is gonna have to be really watched since I've read her cookbook and biography, but damn, I'm gonna be a great comfort food maker!

You never Know!

My friend, Joey, (she's on the left) works for a local TV station and she was working for a local charity. They were filming her and ubeknownst to her...they actually used the film.
They asked her this question:
Why do you do charity work?

and Joey answered:
I do good deeds so I can go to heaven.
I already know I"m going to heaven, but you don't know when your going to have a wild weekend.
THE BEST QUOTE I'VE HEARD IN MONTHS. And it made both the 6:00 and 10:00 news in the whole of the Chippewa Valley.
So, when the next wild weekend comes up....I don't know what the 3 of us will be doing for our good deeds.

What I covet...

Covet is one of the seven deadly sins. But man...I want one of these. Why? I'm a gadget whore. I like little techie things that make my life fun and just a little more interesting. I don't own an iPod, but I'm looking at this one with a whole new outlook.
Do I need this? OH NO
Do I want this? Yep.
Am I getting this in the near future? I don't think so at the moment.
But a girl can covet.

Bottom Lip

As my mama would tell my sister and me when we were pouting...
"If you stick out that bottom lip any further...
A bird will shit on it."

I have no sympathy for this little girl. Bologna sandwiches on white bread isn't just jail food.
Thank you Letterman!!!
